My story…

I got my first Goldendoodle, “Yeti” (a giant, at 97 pounds) 20 years ago. I’ve been blessed with wonderful dogs my entire life but nobody like this happy boy. He was truly my closest friend. We did everything together and wherever we went or whatever we did he always behaved perfectly for the activity. When we went shopping, he would carry my bags! I never taught him that, he just did it. When I came home from work, he would meet me at my truck door, carry my purse to my bedroom and put it down on my bed! I thought he was unique and I cherished everything about him, every day of his life… Which was cut short. Still acting like a puppy, a couple days after his eighth birthday he suddenly became ill. Straight to the Doctor and quickly into surgery… and he was gone… it was a bowel obstruction. The Dr. thought it appeared to be dental floss that he likely ate as a puppy!

Everyone that knows me, knew that I had not just lost a pet, I’d lost a part of myself. My heart was devastated, Yeti had comforted me through so many of lifes tragic moments but sadly he couldn’t help with this. My husband was beside himself with his own loss and his need to comfort me. He suggested the unthinkable – Get a puppy… as if Yeti could be replaced! After a couple days I thought I would just look at some Doodle pups. I saw a picture of this little apricot guy, and when I saw his eyes I said “Look at this little Huckleberry!” He was named! The next day, he was mine. I learned that the magic of my Goldendoodle Yeti, wasn’t an anomaly but the wonder of the breed. I want to be a part of that magic. I want to be covered in puppies! I want to change someones life and fill it with the joy that I have every day. Off I went in search of Huckleberry’s mate and I found my Sunshine. Named for the way she makes me feel, she quickly became my partner in crime, my BFF. (Sorry Huck… it’s a girl thing) Don’t worry, Huck’s not the jealous type and he loves her too. Since then we’ve added three more brilliant, beautiful, nurturing and healthy girls to our family.

Our pups will have begun their immunizations at 6 weeks and will continue to have them every 4 weeks until they are 20 weeks old. At 4 weeks old, they begin using the doggy door and by the time they go to their fur-ever homes they are well on their way to being potty trained. While they are here, they are my puppies. They are born and live in our home. (Dining Room) They are part of the pack and a part of our family. I believe this makes a difference and I sure enjoy it!

Get em’ while you can….

This is Holly’s first and last litter and also my final litter. I’m just getting a little old for this and I find myself missing my children, grandchildren and so many of lifes special moments. It has been my joy and such an honor to share these precious creations with all of you and to know how you cherish them means the world to me.

Truly, Thank you.
